01
Overview
Northfield Storage Hub is a representative concept study showing how Enerovix plans battery energy storage as one coordinated system. A utility-scale storage concept designed to support flexible dispatch and renewable integration. This profile is illustrative and does not describe completed work.
02
The challenge
Northfield sits on a constrained 138 kV connection shared with a growing solar portfolio. The concept had to absorb midday surplus, respect a firm export limit and remain dispatchable through evening peaks without triggering costly network upgrades.
03
The approach
Enerovix developed a two-hour architecture built from containerised lithium iron phosphate blocks, grouped into four independently protected feeders. Power conversion, step-up transformation and the plant controller were specified together so dispatch limits, protection settings and metering points stayed consistent.
