01
Overview
Eastgate Grid Upgrade is a representative concept study showing how Enerovix plans grid infrastructure as one coordinated system. A network reinforcement concept focused on connection capacity, protection coordination and future demand. This profile is illustrative and does not describe completed work.
02
The challenge
A regional industrial estate expects demand to more than double within ten years. The existing 33 kV supply is near its firm capacity, and any new connection must be delivered alongside live operations.
03
The approach
The concept introduces a new 132/33 kV substation with two transformers, double-busbar switchgear and a staged cut-over plan. Protection and SCADA interfaces were coordinated early with the distribution network operator to reduce late design changes.

Technical highlights
New 132/33 kV substation with N-1 transformer arrangement
Staged cut-over to maintain supply to existing customers
Unit and distance protection coordinated with the DNO
Space reserved for a third transformer bay
